The Eye Protection Foundation was established in 1984 by philanthropists to eliminate visual defects. In the same year, Turkey’s First Eye Hospital, Bayrampaşa Eye Hospital was opened to the public.

Bayrampaşa Eye Hospital, where all treatments and surgeries related to eye health are performed, includes glaucoma, strabismus, pediatric eye health, cataract, cornea, refractive surgery, oculoplastic surgery and retina units. In addition to Bayrampaşa Eye Hospital, which is a pioneer in the field of eye health, Idealtepe Eye Center, established in 1997 and Yıldırım Eye Center established in 2001.
